The Sixth Annual Sun Mountain Gathering

The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture Laboratory of Anthropology is presenting its sixth Sun Mountain Gathering event as a way to celebrate 12,000 years of New Mexico's gilded cultural heritage. This fun filled family event scheduled for Saturday, October 6, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm will be filled with ancient craft demonstrations, Indian games such as arrow making, spear throwing, pottery making, stone axe use, hot rock cooking andl gardening. There will be archaeological talks and exhibits, Native American arts and crafts, as well as Indian music and dancing and food.

The festival's entertainment will be featured on Milner Plaza, which is Located on Museum Hill™, at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art. Thousands will gather to celebrate Native American culture at this FREE event. Bring the whole family for this great event!
