Navajo Rug Auction this Weekend

Another Fall auction not to miss this weekend! The University of New Mexico Press along with R. B. Burnham and Co. Native Auctions will be having a Navajo Rug Auction on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Maxwell Museum of Anthropology on the University of New Mexico campus. The proceeds made at the auction will be used for supporting books by and about Native Americans being published by UNM Press. There will be over two hundred rugs by contemporary Navajo weavers offered for auction with rugs of all sizes and prices. A sneak peak at of the rugs will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the auction will begin at 1:30 p.m. There is no admission fee for this event so go and enjoy!
