Georgia O'Keeffe Museum
December 03, 2007
The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum here in Santa Fe opened to the public in July 1997, about eleven years after the death of the artist from whom it takes its name. The museum welcomes visitors from all over the world each year and has become the most visited art museum in the state of New Mexico. The O'Keeffe Museum is also the first museum in the United States that is dedicated to a single woman artist.
Each Holiday Season, the Museum hosts an annual Concert in the Galleries, offered as a gift to the Santa Fe Community and its many visitors. This year the museum is featuring Santa Fe New Music led by John Kennedy and will feature 20th- century compositions, including Peter Garland's Matachin Dances. Join the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum for their Concert in the Galleries, December 7th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 217 Johnson Street. There will be thirty minute performances and the concert is free with no reservations necessary.
